President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Ruslan Magomedov from the position of the head of the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market (NCSCFR).

The corresponding decree No. 1018 of December 31 was published on the president’s website. The reasons for dismissal are not specified.

Magomedov headed the NCCPFR in February 2021.

“Interfax-Ukraine” agency reminds about the application for dismissal of the member of the National Committee of the National Committee of the Russian Federation Irakliy Baramia in October, there was also a request for the dismissal of another member of the commission – Maksym Libanov, whose term of office has expired.

According to the publication “Economichna Pravda”, in the first days of December, two more members of the NCCPFR, Yuriy Boyko and Yaroslav Shlyakhov, submitted statements to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi with a request to dismiss them from their positions.

If all four members of the NCCPFR are dismissed, and no new ones are appointed in their place, the commission will lose its quorum. In addition, as one of the members of the NKCPFR told the Interfax-Ukraine agency, from January 1, 2026, a provision of the new law will enter into force, according to which applicants must pass a selection committee before applying for the appointment of a member of the commission, which may increase the time for this personnel decision.
