Details: Having warned European partners about the consequences of a possible negative decision, Zelensky also expressed regret that some European politicians are playing on Moscow’s side.

He expressed his belief that such politicians are assigned the role of outsiders.
“The vast majority of Europeans believe that only Russia is to blame for this war. But some in Europe are still happy to fly to Moscow. But, let’s be honest, most Europeans understand: betraying moral values and European interests in favor of Moscow will never become the main European trend. It will always be the work of outsiders, not real leaders,” the president said.
He also reminded that Russian invaders commit daily crimes in Ukraine, and the attempts of individual leaders to ignore it do not change the reality. “No one will ever be able to explain to a Ukrainian child whose parents died in this war that it is not the fault of the aggressor and that he should not face the consequences,” he noted.
In his speech, Zelensky did not name any names, but hinted that he was talking about Orban, the Hungarian prime minister.
“Even Viktor’s best speeches and videos will not be able to convince this child that Putin is not guilty. No one will ever be able to explain to European voters why Europe should return 200 billion euros to Putin after everything he destroyed and after all the difficult decisions Europe had to make because of his war,” Zelensky said.
No other participant of the December EU summit has the name Viktor – only the Hungarian prime minister.
