Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine “Azov” Gryntsevich

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine “Azov” Nazariy Grintsevich posthumously. This is stated in Decree No. 467/2025, published on the presidential site.

“For personal courage and heroism, revealed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people decide to assign the title of Hero of Ukraine with awarding the Order of the Golden Star Nazariy Gryntsevich,” – said in the decree.

In the building of the National Guard “Azov” remind that Nazarii Gryntsevich (“Greenka”) entered the artillery unit “Azov” at 18 years. After the start of a full-scale invasion, he was the youngest Azov-defender of Mariupol, and met his nineteenth anniversary at Azovstal.

After his release from captivity, Nazariy Gritsevich returned to combat work. He was one of the founders of the Special Forces of Artillery Intelligence “Contact12” in the brigade artillery group.

Nazarii Grenko Grintsevich died on May 6, 2024 during the combat mission in the Kreminsky direction.
