President Volodymyr Zelensky in his decree introduced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on proposals to the State Budget on articles related to the national security and defense of Ukraine for 2026.

Details: In particular, according to the NSDC decision, the Cabinet of Ministers is entrusted:
Advertising:
- Provide in the project of the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2026” Expenditures for the National Security and Defense of Ukraine for the Sector of Security and Defense in the amount of at least the amount of expenditures stipulated by the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025”;
- to provide for the possibility of adjusting in 2026 the amount of expenditures on national security and defense of Ukraine, taking into account the military and political situation;
- take measures to ensure timely and in full funding in 2026 for the bodies of the security and defense sector for payment of financial support of servicemen, persons of ordinary and command staff, police;
- take measures in 2026 to ensure the timely and in full payment of one -time financial assistance in the event of the death of persons, as well as their death as a result of injury (injury, injury or injury) obtained during the martial law, taking into account the requirements of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of February 28, 2022. police and their families during martial law “;
- continue in 2026 the implementation of measures to attract additional sources of military and technical assistance to Ukraine;
- to ensure in 2026 the task of the priority financing of the activities of the subjects of the Sector of Security and Defense of Ukraine in priority areas;
- Develop and approve by March 1, 2026 the State Targeted Defense Program for the Development of weapons and military equipment for the period up to 2031;
- Provide in 2026 informing the apparatus of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on a monthly basis by the 15th on the state of financing the Sector of Security and Defense of Ukraine.
Also, the NSDC approved by the President of the NSDC has a number of government orders under the stamp “for official use”.
