Zelensky approved the delegation headed by Umerov for peace negotiations with the Russian Federation and the USA

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy by his decree approved the Ukrainian delegation to participate in peace negotiations with the United States and Russia. It is headed by the Secretary of the National Security Council Rustem Umyerov.

Details: According to the decree, the delegation was approved “to participate in the negotiation process with the United States of America and other international partners of Ukraine, as well as with representatives of the Russian Federation regarding the achievement of a just and sustainable peace.”

The delegation includes its head, Secretary of the National Security Council Rustem Umyerov, head of the National Security Council Kyrylo Budanov, head of the “Servant of the People” faction David Arahamiya, advisor to the Cabinet of the President of the United Nations Oleksandr Bevz, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov, chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Military Intelligence Organization Oleg Ivashchenko, first deputy head of the National Security Agency Serhiy Kyslytsia, first deputy secretary of the National Security Council Yevgeny Ostryanskyi, first deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine Oleksandr Poklad, deputy head of the Main Directorate Vadim Skibitskyi of the IOU intelligence.

What happened before:

• Before that Zelensky stated that tripartite negotiations between Ukraine, the United States and Russia should take place this Friday and Saturday in the United Arab Emirates.
• January 23 pDmytro Peskov, undersecretary of the President of the Russian Federation, said that the Kremlin insists on the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbas, as it seems to be an important condition for negotiations on ending the war.
