The relevant changes to the State Budget for 2025 were approved by the Parliament on October 21. People’s deputies supported the document “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2025″ Regarding Financial Support of the Security and Defense Sector” as a basis and in general.
According to Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, the resource will cover this year’s priority needs. Among them:
– More than UAH 156 billion will be allocated to financial support and additional remuneration for military personnel;
– Almost UAH 108 billion will be spent on the logistical support of military units, on the purchase of weapons and ammunition, in particular drones, to support the armed forces;
– They will also finance the fulfillment of the state’s social obligations to defenders and their families.
