President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Valery Zaluzhny by a permanent representative of Ukraine under the International Maritime Organization (IMO). This is stated in the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 151/2025 of March 3, 2025.
The duties of a permanent representative of Ukraine in IMO Zaluzhny will fulfill in combination.
The headquarters of the international maritime organization is located in London.
Valery Zaluzhny is the former commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Supreme Commander -in -Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed him from his post in February 2024.
