Zelensky announced the replacement of the head of the State Security Service

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that in the near future the Minister of Internal Affairs will present candidates for the replacement of the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine, and Lieutenant General Serhii Deineko will continue working in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Details: According to the president, under Deineko’s leadership, the DPSU has been developing and strengthening for more than six years.

At the same time, Zelensky noted that there is a task to change approaches in the work of the State Security Service, which he also discussed with Deynenko.

• On October 3, 2025, the officer and founder of the Matrix-UAV unmanned aviation bureau, Yuriy Kasyanov, announced the disbandment of his unit – the branch (company) of unmanned strike systems of the 10th mobile detachment of the DPSU and called it “revenge of the President’s Office.”
• The spokesman of the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko explained that the disbandment of Kasyanov’s unit occurred due to the lack of effectiveness during the execution of tasks.
• Commander of the Forces of Unmanned Systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, informed about the possibility of the disbanded company of the military to transfer to the SBS.
• On October 6, the head of the State Border Guard Service, Lieutenant General Serhiy Deineko, met with the military personnel of the disbanded unit Yuriy Kasyanov and answered their questions. According to Demchenko, the meeting was held so that the servicemen would receive objective information first-hand, in order to eliminate the speculative manipulations that have been spreading recently. 35 servicemen were present at the meeting. Another 15 servicemen who later arrived at the meeting place also received objective information.
