“We discussed with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko the preparation for the meeting of the Government of Ukraine. Important decisions are planned. An audit of the activities of state-owned energy companies – all relevant financial transactions – is already underway. A decision has also been prepared regarding the full inspection of state defense companies and relevant contracts. The audit of the defense sphere should be complete and as deep as possible,” he wrote.
Zelensky instructed the Prime Minister to initiate an urgent audit of ARMA and FSMU in front of the Accounting Chamber, the task is also to ensure the renewal of supervisory boards and the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine.
Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Taras Kachka and Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko reported on the details of consultations with representatives of international financial institutions, work with the IMF mission. Zelenskyi reported on the discussion of preparation for meetings with creditors.
Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved an action plan for updating the composition of supervisory boards and executive bodies of economic entities of the fuel and energy complex.
This happened after NABU announced on November 10 about the exposure of the activities of a criminal organization, the main direction of which was “systematic obtaining of illegal benefits from the counterparties of Energoatom in the amount of 10% to 15% of the value of contracts.”
On November 11, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Serhii Savitskyi, said that Timur Mindich, a former business partner of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in “Kvartal 95” (one of the persons involved in this case), had influence on the former Minister of Defense Rustem Umyerov (now the Secretary of the National Security Council).
After that, Rustem Umerov stated that any attempts to connect his work in the Ministry of Defense with the “influence” of some persons are “groundless”.
