Zadzerkalya Street

Analysis of the problems of power, corruption and political responsibility in Ukraine. Why it’s time to face the truth.”, — write: www.pravda.com.ua

When trees were big, children’s cinema played a big role in the formation of a young personality. What would you do, there were no gadgets then, and you had free time either to spread manure in the garden, or, if it was summer, to catch fish and steal corn in the collective farm field. Well, if you were good at hiding fights with your peers from your parents, you could be taken to the cinema.

And then I happened upon the wonderful film “Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors”. The plot is quite simple and interesting: the little schoolgirl Olya gets into the Looking Glass, where all the streets are paved with crooked mirrors and the old man looks young, and the tired looks cheerful. This was done specifically so that the people driven by difficult working conditions would look at themselves in the mirror and hate reality.

But the most interesting thing is not that. The kingdom was headed by King Yagupop (“Parrot”), and the ministers who constantly dreamed of quietly suppressing him were Anydag (“Abomination”) Abaj (“Frog”) Nushrok (“Kite”). And the only thing that kept the king alive was the fact that his ministers, in addition to dreaming of becoming kings themselves, were quite actively trying to kill each other.

If you listen to individual people’s elected representatives, ministers and their numerous advisers, it becomes clear that they live on the streets of crooked mirrors, because they say failure is a prospect, lack of initiative is statecraft, and if they don’t agree to listen to crap, they say they are working for the Kremlin. And this is not a problem of today, it is a problem of the whole period of the recent independence of Ukraine. But if earlier we could all afford not to face the truth, today we can’t. The price is too high. The price is the existence of Ukraine as a state.

And the truth is quite simple. We do not have a systematic fight against corruption and until the judicial system changes, nothing will change. Half of the judges and a fairly significant percentage of law enforcement and control bodies cannot explain their fortunes.

The political leadership of the state is not aware of the real needs of the army and mobilization, as the only guarantor of the existence of the state.

We have no political responsibility, the people have a short memory, and any system needs people who are ready to fluctuate with the party.

We have almost no adequate social elevators, and the only possibility of development in the field of public administration is not professionalism, but loyalty.

We call the lack of parliamentarism cohesion. We call pandering to evaders and deserters humanism, while Ukrainian soldiers break all unimaginable records of staying “at zero”, because there is simply no one to change. And we call stupid decisions in the style of let’s let the youth out of the country: “Give students the opportunity to return.” And the list can be continued until the morning.

Unfortunately, Ukraine no longer has the opportunity to experiment on itself. Whatever these experiments are interesting, but enough. I would advise our political leadership to start beating the crooked mirrors they are surrounded by. Because what is now is UNVIABLE.

The only thing that keeps the country afloat is the army, which fights at the limit of any human capabilities.

So, after destroying the “crooked mirrors”, I would advise to remove the “old team”, because it is not focused on the President, but on the one to whom they owe their career.

On the third point, I would still advise you to remember that there is a war in the country and to concentrate all the resources of the state for its conduct. After all, if we lose, it will no longer matter how much money the people’s elected official or official and budget employee lacks for the normal performance of his functions. Because there will be nothing to do.

The Russians will bring with them only ethnic cleansing, and the place of Gauleiter has long been divided among former activists of “Opoblok”, “Sharia Party”, OPZZ and other pro-Russian scum.

So my dear residents of the Looking Glass Street, come back to reality, it’s interesting here.
