The tech giant Baidu presented its own pair of smart glasses based on artificial intelligence in Shanghai.
The company held its annual Baidu World 2024 technology conference in Shanghai. At the event, the company announced a number of new technologies and solutions in the field of artificial intelligence. Xiaodu AI Glasses smart glasses were also presented.
Baidu claims that these are the first smart glasses with artificial intelligence based on the Chinese language model. They are powered by ERNIE’s generative artificial intelligence technology and are equipped with image processing, audio and location functions.
The creators call it Xiaodu AI Glasses “a universal assistant with artificial intelligence in everyday scenarios.” Among the capabilities of the gadget is an instant translation or analysis of what the user sees in front of him. Also, the gadget can perform the role of a personal tour guide, navigating by maps, turning music on and off, taking photos and much more.
The company announced that Xiaodu AI Glasses will be available for sale in the first half of 2025. The cost of the gadget has not been specified, nor is it known whether it will be sold outside of China.
