She noted that Trump had received a message from Iran that the “killings and executions” would stop.

“The President understands that the 800 executions that were planned and were to take place yesterday have been stopped. The President and his team are closely monitoring the situation, and all options remain on the table for the President,” the White House spokeswoman added.

Recently, Trump supported the Iranian population in protests and declared that “help is on the way.”

The media reported that Israel and a number of Arab countries have in recent days appealed to the Trump administration not to strike Iran yet because the regime has not yet weakened enough.

The media also reported that the US president told his national security team that he wants any US military action in Iran to deal a “swift and decisive” blow to the regime and not cause a protracted war.

And on January 15, the Trump administration announced new sanctions against Iran.
