The National Police of Ukraine explained how to act in case of disappearance of a loved one, including a serviceman or civilian. National police reports, reports UNN.

First of all, you should contact the nearest police unit and apply for the search. In the statement it is important to provide the investigator with all the available information about the missing person:

– Photos,

– Description of appearance,

– special signs and details of clothing.

Upon submission of the application, an excerpt should be obtained from the Unified Register of Pre -trial Investigations issued by the investigator.

In addition, the blood relatives of the missing (parents, relatives or sisters, children) should hand over samples for DNA examination.

It is also recommended to apply to the Secretariat of the Commissioner for Persons missing in special circumstances and to receive an extract from the relevant register.
