Details: On August 6, the Board of Judges of the Wax announced the verdict of the former head of the SSA, according to which it found him guilty of committing a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of influence).

The accused was sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to occupy positions in state authorities and local self -government for a period of 3 years.
At the same time, the court recognized Salnikov recognized innocent in committing the offense under Part 2 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (fraud – ed.).
The court left a precautionary measure used earlier, namely the pledge of UAH 575 320, and before the entry into force of the sentence put the following procedural responsibilities on the person entry into force:
- not to be separated without the permission of the court outside the city of Kyiv and Kyiv region;
- To submit to the authorized body of state power passports of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad and/or other document that gives the right to travel abroad.
The BCS sentence may be appealed within 30 days from the date of its pronouncement by filing an appeal to the Appeal Chamber of the Supreme Anti -Corruption Court.
Prehistory:
- In July 2023, NABU and SAP employees stated that they exposed the Head of the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine at inciting prior to providing unlawful benefits by judges of the Supreme Court for making a decision in favor of a commercial enterprise.
- The case was later re -qualified.
- In December 2023, the High Council was released by Alexei Salnikov from his post.
