Vuchich declared partial resumption of ammunition exports from Serbia

Serbia President Aleksandar Vuchich stated that the country plans to partially remove restrictions on the export of ammunition that were introduced the day before.

Details: According to Vuchich, the decision to export ammunition in the near future will be made exclusively by the Serbia National Security Council, which includes the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country.

In addition, the Serbian President said, the “black, gray and white lists of” countries on export of ammunition from Serbia will be created.

“The National Security Council is now issuing an order to the Ministry of Commerce, which will no longer export ammunition from Serbia, but this creates a serious problem for us,” Vuchich admitted.

According to the President, after the announcement on Monday to suspend the export of ammunition from Serbia, he will undergo “high pressure from the outside and from the inside.”

“I was told that in July at the defense industry there will be demonstrations to show me that exports should be made because they should receive a salary and live at the expense of it,” he complained.

Vuchich announced the suspension of ammunition exports against the backdrop of the Israeli-Iranian conflict (Serbia had previously supplied weapons) and criticism by Moscow against Ukraine.

• Less than a month ago, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service complained that Serbian defense enterprises, contrary to neutrality, which declared Belgrade, continue the supply of ammunition in Kiev.
