Details: According to Voloshyn, Gulyaipole has actually turned into a “gray zone”. Ukrainian units hold positions on the outskirts of the city, but neither side can gain a foothold in the central part.

He added that in the central part of the city there are constant clashes between assault groups. Due to the impossibility of capturing the city, Russian troops resorted to large-scale mining.
“The enemy cannot push back and gain a foothold in Gulyaipol, therefore… the enemy’s sapper units received a significant number of both anti-personnel and anti-tank TM-72 mines in order to mine all roads, streets, yards,” Voloshyn said, clarifying that mining is carried out both manually and remotely – using drones.
“He (the enemy – ed.) cannot take it, so he decided to mine the part of Gulyaipol that he cannot take,” the spokesman stated.
The spokesman said that the situation in the Gulyaipil region has been tense for several weeks. Dozens of combat clashes take place there every day – both in the city itself and in the surrounding settlements.
According to Voloshyn, a record number of airstrikes – 14 with the use of 106 guided air bombs – were recorded in this direction over the past day. The settlement of Zaliznychne suffered considerable destruction, which, according to him, the Russian troops “actually razed to the ground.”
In addition, the Russian army actively uses drones. Over the past day, 1,752 kamikaze drones were recorded, of which at least 1,200 were in Gulyaipol.
