The Investigating Judge of the State Criminal Court partially satisfied the request of the prosecutor and allowed him to move throughout the territory of Ukraine (not to leave Ukraine) without the permission of the investigator, the prosecutor or the court. Previously, this person involved in the case was forbidden to leave Sumy region or Kyiv region without the permission of the investigator, prosecutor or court, except for travel between the specified regions. The rest of the duties assigned to the suspect were left unchanged by the court.
This case is only a part of a general trend, when VACS makes a decision in favor of softening preventive measures against suspects in the anti-corruption case against Solskyi.

In May 2024, NABU and SAP accused Mykola Solskyi, the current minister of agricultural policy at the time, of appropriating land in the Sumy region for the benefit of ATO fighters. This story is already eight years old, reasonable terms of the investigation have run out, but detectives now plan to interrogate more than a thousand ATO soldiers, most of whom are defending the country at the front. The military, in turn, are outraged by the actions of anti-corruption officers.
However, publicly available materials testify to the dubious evidence of detectives. This is also evidenced by NABU’s manipulation of the expertise in this case. Yes, they tried to “confuse” one of them and annul it through the court – probably because such an examination testified to the innocence of the ex-minister.
In the meantime, VAKS removed the electronic bracelet from Mykola Solsky in mid-May, and is gradually softening the precautionary measures for other people involved in this case.
