“On December 8, 2025, the investigating judge VAKS satisfied the request of NABU detectives, approved by the SAP prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure in the form of UAH 1,514,000 bail to the assistant of the people’s deputy, who, together with the people’s deputy and another person, was exposed for inciting the granting of an illegal benefit for the application of NSDC sanctions to a competitor company,” it says messages
The suspect is charged, in particular, with the duty to wear an electronic means of control, to deposit his passport(s) for traveling abroad, to appear before the detective, prosecutor, investigating judge, and the court at each of their demands and summons, not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the detective, prosecutor, or court.
SAP does not clarify the name of the people’s deputy, but it is clear from the plot of the case that it is about Anna Skorokhod, who was informed of the suspicion a few days ago.
On December 7, VAKS chose a preventive measure against an accomplice of the People’s Deputy, who is suspected of “selling” sanctions from the National Security Council for a bribe of $250,000.
On December 5, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine announced the suspicion of a people’s deputy who, according to law enforcement officers, was the head of a criminal group. According to the investigation, its participants offered a business representative for $250,000 to organize the imposition of sanctions by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on a competitor company. NABU stated that the suspects claimed that they had the opportunity to transfer funds for the adoption of sanctions decisions to officials of state authorities, in particular to members of the National Security Council.
In addition to the people’s deputy, her assistant and accomplice were charged under the article of the Criminal Code “Proposals, promises or granting of an illegal benefit to an official”.
Anna Skorokhod confirmed that on December 5, after searching her apartment, law enforcement officers handed her a suspect in a bribery case. However, according to Skorokhod, they “couldn’t substantiate it with anything”, and she was not arrested.
As the deputy stated, the money seized during the searches was not hers. She also accused NABU of “manipulation” and publication of “fake photos”.
In 2019, Anna Skorokhod was a member of the ruling Servant of the People faction, but was expelled from the faction due to voting contrary to the position of the Servant of the People.
