UZ: trains are delayed in the Kyiv region due to damage to the contact network

“Ukrzaliznytsia” reports that due to damage to the contact network as a result of the fall of the support of the external 110 kV line caused by bad weather, one of the stations was temporarily left without power in the Kyiv region. This led to delays in the movement of trains.

In particular, according to UZ, trains #743/744 Slavsko – Darnytsia, #21/22 Kharkiv – Lviv, #15/16 Vorokhta – Kharkiv, #79/80 Lviv – Dnipro are still running, including under reserve locomotives.

“The rest of the trains that were supposed to pass through the damaged section continue to run on a modified route with controlled deviations from the schedule,” the company added.

Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba announced traffic restrictions due to bad weather on the roads in Rivne and Zhytomyr regions.

Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko reported on preparations for deteriorating weather conditions due to the approach of a cyclone.

Deteriorating weather conditions in Ukraine are putting additional strain on critical infrastructure already under Russian attacks. The government announced the adoption of a number of decisions so that the relevant services were prepared for bad weather and could provide timely assistance.
