The saber of the 17th century is a unique artifact, a sample of Ukrainian weaponry, formed in particular under the influence of the countries of Muslim Eastern culture. Hetman Ivan Mazepa gave a saber to Osavul Savych for his good service. Today it is kept in the Chernihiv Regional Historical Museum named after Tarnovsky
It is noted that the saber was delivered to Saudi Arabia in compliance with all regulations and under the supervision of museum specialists. Its presentation is an important step of cultural diplomacy.
