President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration will be moved indoors due to forecasts of dangerously cold temperatures.

“Therefore, I have directed that the inaugural address, in addition to the prayers and other speeches, be delivered in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol,” he wrote on Truth Social.

CNN reported earlier Friday that Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance were scheduled to be sworn in at the Rotunda, and that Trump’s team was in talks to potentially hold part of the ceremony at the arena where Trump will hold a rally on Sunday.

Officials are concerned that the cold temperatures could pose a health risk to visitors and guests, and Trump expressed that concern on Friday.

The Rotunda is prepared as a bad weather alternative for each inauguration in case of bad weather. The last swearing-in ceremony was held indoors in 1985, when President Ronald Reagan began his second term. Monday’s forecast calls for the lowest Inauguration Day temperature since that day.

The National Weather Service predicts that the temperature will be around 22 degrees (minus 6 Celsius) during the inauguration.
