US President Donald Trump wants to associate the proposed mineral agreement demanding that Kiev arrange a rapid ceasefire with Russia’s aggressor country, Bloomberg reported several sources familiar with the situation.
Washington says that Trump is ready to finalize the agreement on natural resources, provided that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will agree to ceasefire and negotiations with Moscow, the sources said.
These additional conditions are the main reason why the economic agreement has not yet been signed, despite Trump and Zelensky’s public statements that they are ready to do it, added sources of the publication.
Some sources have added that in the coming days an agreement could move forward. Others have warned that the US position may change because Trump is known for its tendency to change your mind.
