“Broadly speaking, Russia should refrain from taking steps that could negatively affect the threshold for the use of nuclear weapons. Russia should adhere to its international obligations, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, together with all the leaders of the five nuclear states,” he added.
The spokesman said the EU also called on Russia to refrain from nuclear threats and all nuclear powers to “refrain from actions that could trigger a new arms race, as such behavior undermines global stability and the hard-earned progress in reducing nuclear arms since the end of the Cold War.”

Trump’s statement about nuclear weapons came against the backdrop of Kremlin master Vladimir Putin’s boasting of the tests cruise missile “Burevyesnik” with a nuclear power plant.
On Wednesday, the master of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin instructed to start preparation to potential nuclear weapons tests after finding out what the US will do in this direction.
