Verbatim police: “(Law enforcement officers – ed.) carried out another evacuation of civilians from the city of Kupyansk, where intense hostilities are currently ongoing. This time it was possible to save four people who remained in a dangerous area for a long time under constant shelling.”

Details: The police explained that the evacuation was made possible thanks to a “carefully planned special operation“which took place in several stages.
“One of the key stages was carried out under the control of a drone, which monitored the situation and adjusted the route of people’s movement. This allowed civilians to safely exit to a designated point, where an armored police car was already waiting“the message says.
The law enforcement officers noted that the evacuation was carried out under heavy fire pressure from the enemy. People managed to be taken out of the danger zone. They were taken to a safe place, where they were given warm shelter and first aid.
The police of the Kharkiv region called on residents who are in the zone of constant shelling not to delay the decision to evacuate and, if necessary, call 102, or 067-177-07-40 and 095-285-70-12.
What preceded:
- In June, the head of the Kupyansk RVA Andriy Kanashevich announced that evacuation from Kupyansk due to shelling and intensified Russian strikes by FPV drones becomes more and more difficult.
- In September, data from the DeepState analytical project showed that Russian troops advanced to Kupyansk and near Golubivka, north of Kupyansk.
- In October, the Defense Council of the Kharkiv region adopted a decision on forced evacuation of families with children from several dozen settlements of the Kupyan district.
- On November 17, the head of the communications department of the United Forces group, Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Tregubov, reported that in Kupyansk, the Defense Forces continue the operation to eliminate Russian cells in the northern part of the city.
- On December 2, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that Ukrainian units significantly improved their tactical position in Kupyansk Kharkiv region.
