Details: The report recorded a significant increase in the number of gross violations of children’s rights in armed conflict zones in 2024–2025. In particular, in Ukraine, growth was 105% compared to the previous period. The greatest increase in such violations is registered in Lebanon (545%), Mozambique (525%), Haiti (490%), and Ethiopia (235%).

“I am deeply concerned about a sharp increase in gross disorders against children in Ukraine, including killings and injuries of children, as well as attacks on schools and hospitals,” – said the Secretary General in the section dedicated to Ukraine.

Given the systematic and scale of violations, the UN Secretary General has re -included the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the list of state structures that violate the rights of children (the so -called “List of Shame”).
