During 3 days in Florida, the Ukrainian delegation held a number of productive and constructive meetings with representatives of the USA and European partners, in particular, the parties discussed 4 key documents, the head of the delegation, Secretary of the NSDC, Rustem Umyerov, said.

Umerov’s direct speech: “A constructive meeting was held in the USA-Ukraine format, during which the main attention was focused on four key documents: the continuation of the development of the 20-point plan; the agreement of positions on the multilateral framework agreement on security guarantees; the agreement of positions on the bilateral agreement on security guarantees from the United States; as well as the continuation of the development of the economic development plan (prosperity plan).”

Meetings with European partners were also held in Florida. In particular, key national security advisers of European countries joined the discussions.

Together with Umyerov, the Ukrainian delegation was represented by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Andrii Hnatov. Special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, as well as White House employee Josh Gruenbaum participated in the negotiations from the US.

“Ukraine remains fully committed to achieving a just and sustainable peace. Our common priority is to stop the killings, achieve guaranteed security and create conditions for the reconstruction, stability and long-term prosperity of Ukraine. Peace should not only be an end to hostilities, but also a worthy basis for a stable future,” Umyerov said.

He emphasized that Ukraine highly values ​​the leadership and support of the US and “further close coordination with partners in the next stages of this important work.”

What happened before:

• On December 21, the Secretary of the National Security Council Rustem Umyerov announced that the next meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with the American side in the USA will take place on Sunday.
• President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that he is waiting for Umerov’s report on negotiations with the American side.
• The Kremlin also said that they were waiting for the report of the special envoy of the head of the Russian Federation, Kirill Dmitriev, on the results of the negotiations between the representatives of the USA, European countries and Ukraine, but they assumed in advance that “most of the proposals” would not suit Moscow.
