“On December 14, restrictions on electricity consumption will be introduced in all regions of Ukraine due to damage to the energy infrastructure as a result of massive Russian attacks, Ukrenergo reports.”, — write: www.radiosvoboda.org
According to the report, for the population, hourly outage schedules will be in effect throughout the day, for industry there will be capacity limitation schedules. “Ukrenergo” does not specify the number of blackouts – although it previously provided such information.
Ukrenergo reminds that the reason for the introduction of restrictions is the consequences of previous massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in February 2022, Russia has been striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Beginning in the fall of 2025, the Russian military intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.
In Ukraine, due to damage to energy facilities as a result of Russian shelling, hourly blackout schedules and capacity limitation schedules are applied for industrial consumers and businesses.
