“Ukrenergo” declares that on November 17, in most regions of Ukraine, measures to limit electricity consumption will be applied from 00:00 to 23:59 – in the amount of 1 to 4 shifts.

In addition, power curtailment schedules from 00:00 to 23:59 will be in effect for industrial consumers.

“The reason for the introduction of restrictions is the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities… The time and scope of the application of restrictions may change,” the message says.

The company urged to consume electricity sparingly when it appears on schedule.

Since the beginning of autumn, the Russian military has intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.

The Ministry of Energy announced that Russia carried out one of the largest ballistic missile attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine on the night of November 8. In order to eliminate the damage and stabilize the operation of the power system, first emergency shutdowns were used, then special hourly shutdown schedules.
