The previous day – October 20 – the restrictions were from 06:00 to 22:00.
According to the company’s press service, electricity consumption remains high, but as of 9:30 a.m. on October 21, it was 1.4% lower than at the same time the previous day, on Monday. The reason for these changes is sunny weather in the western and part of the southern regions of Ukraine, which leads to the high efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding decrease in the level of energy consumption from the general network.
Energy experts urge to use electricity sparingly – to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances and not to turn on several such appliances at the same time before 10:00 p.m.
In recent weeks, the Russian military has intensified its shelling of the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.
In August, the Ministry of Energy reported that since March 2025, Russian forces have carried out more than 2,900 attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
