Measures to limit energy consumption will be in effect in most regions of Ukraine throughout the day on November 16, the operator “Ukrenergo” reports.

The company reminds that the restrictions are being introduced as a result of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.

In particular, hourly outage schedules for consumers will operate in the amount of one to three and a half queues.

Also, there will be capacity restrictions for industrial consumers throughout the day.

The operator urges to consume electricity sparingly when it is on schedule.

Outages have ranged from 2 to 4 times over the past few days.

Since the beginning of autumn, the Russian military has intensified its attacks on the Ukrainian energy and gas infrastructure, which supplies people with gas during the heating season.

The Ministry of Energy announced that Russia launched one of the largest ballistic missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure on the night of November 8. In order to eliminate the damage and stabilize the operation of the power system, first emergency shutdowns were used, then special schedules of hourly shutdowns. They operated in Kyiv Oblast, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, and Sumy Oblast.
