Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the parliament to expedite the approval of at least ten crucial legislative proposals that are essential for securing hundreds of millions of dollars for the national budget. He made this statement during a press briefing, as reported by Suspilne.
According to Zelensky, each of these bills could potentially bring in significant revenue, ranging from $360 million to $440 million. He emphasized the importance of these proposals for the financial stability of Ukraine, urging lawmakers from all parties to recognize their critical role. “There are ten fundamental bills that need to be voted on in the coming month,” he stated.
“These are bills that can bring us $360 million, $380 million, $400 million, $440 million — each. The sums are clear, and I believe that deputies from all parties should understand the significance of these bills for the Ukrainian budget,” Zelensky said.
In addition to the ten bills, Zelensky mentioned another five important legislative initiatives that could collectively contribute an additional billion dollars to the state budget.
“If there are questions regarding the tax legislation, they should be addressed calmly. I believe we can navigate this successfully. The parliament demonstrated its effectiveness previously, and it must do so again now,” he added.
This development comes at a critical time as Ukraine continues to seek financial support amid ongoing challenges.
