Details: According to the publication, as part of the Interflex Operation, which envisages the training of Ukrainian military in the United Kingdom, Ukraine secretly sent experienced instructors from unmanned systems to hand over to British colleagues a unique combat experience gained in the war with the Russian army. Particular emphasis is placed on the training of British military tactics for the use of drones on the battlefield by Russia – to help them better prepare for the coming war.

Instructors from Ukraine also help to integrate knowledge of the use of drones into basic preparation of recruits, which allows to adapt military education to the realities of the modern war.
The Minister for Veterans Affairs of the United Kingdom, Colonel Alister Karns, stressed the importance of such an exchange in a series of posts on platform X.
“Lessons from Ukraine are relevant now and are of great importance for every combat theater,” Karns said.
According to him, there are technologies that allow unmanned systems to move into the area of operations on their own, identify, choose, accompany and impress goals – both autonomously and with the participation of the operator.
Karns stressed that troops should be ready for the use of drones on all fronts.
“As before the First World War, artillery training has become a standard, so today drones should become a new norm of military training,” he emphasized.
The head of the American defense company Anduril Palmer Laki, who specializes in the production of drones, noted that, in his opinion, the Pandora Box was already open when it comes to autonomous weapons.
Professor Michael Clark, the former CEO of the Royal Institute of Joint Services, said that “we have been going to it for a long time.”
Reference: It is known that in Europe, Ukrainian military training is mainly within two programs – Interflex, led by Britain and EUMAM initiative under the auspices of the EU.
The Interflex Operation was initiated in the fall of 2022, with more than 10 countries involved in the training of Ukrainian servicemen in Britain.
As of November 2024, 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen were trained as part of the operation.
