- The Ukrainian company DevDroid has created a universal modular control system for ground drones – Droid Box. This is stated in the manufacturer’s press release.
This solution helps NRC manufacturers to significantly simplify and speed up the development process.
“Droid Box is essentially an “operating system” for the NRK, which accelerates the development, integration and release of new solutions to the battlefield. In addition, the system forms a single standard for managing Ukrainian ground robotic systems,” explains the company’s CEO, Yurii Poritskyi.
According to the company, the Droid Box is literally the brain of the ground drone, responsible for communication, control and integration of combat modules. The system is easily integrated with various platforms and supports simultaneous connection of several types of communication: radio channel, LTE, Starlink, which ensures stable control even in the zone of active hostilities.
Operators can control the NRC from the tablet screen or with a gamepad.
It is noted that the Wolly combat module from DevDroid can be connected to the NRK, into which the Droid Box is integrated, turning the logistics platform into a reconnaissance-strike complex.
The system also has elements of artificial intelligence for autonomous detection, capture and tracking of targets.
According to the company, Droid Box has already been integrated into the following systems:
– NUMO is a multi-purpose tracked NRK for logistics and combat tasks.
– “Ravlyk” is a universal platform for logistics, ammunition delivery and evacuation of the wounded from the combat zone.
– “Snake” is an armored ground robot, resistant to anti-personnel mines and capable of withstanding enemy FPV drops.
– “Bison” is a platform for transporting ammunition, evacuating the wounded and providing fire support.
DevDroid Earlier it was reported that DevDroid together with the manufacturer of the NRC “Ravlyk” presented a new reconnaissance and strike system called Droid Raw 12.7.
