- In May, self -proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, at a meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Andriy Belousov, stated that Belarusian troops were ready for joint military exercises with Russia and “no one is going to attack.”
- In April, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in the summer of 2025 Russia could prepare for something in Belarus, hiding behind military exercises.
- In February, Zelensky said that Russia plans to prepare in 2025 to strengthen the Belarusian direction of 15 divisions with 100-150 thousand military.
