Ukrainian Athletes Set to Compete in Two Events at 2026 Winter Paralympics

The fifth day of the 2026 Winter Paralympics will see Ukrainian athletes participating in two events on March 11 in Italy. The competitions will focus on para skiing and wheelchair curling.

Suspilne Sport is the official broadcaster for the 2026 Winter Paralympics in Ukraine, providing live coverage of the events featuring Ukrainian athletes across its platforms and local channels.

On this day, Ukraine will be represented solely in the para skiing events, with competitors participating in two races for athletes with visual impairments.

Romena Lobasheva will be the only Ukrainian woman competing in the women’s race, while two male athletes, Ihor Kravchuk and Dmytro Suyarko, will participate in the men’s events.

Schedule for Ukrainian Competitors on Day Five of the Paralympics (March 11)

  • 13:25. Para Skiing. Interval start (women), 10 km classic style (Romena Lobasheva)
  • 13:55. Para Skiing. Interval start (men), 10 km classic style (Dmytro Suyarko, Ihor Kravchuk)

In the para skiing events, Lobasheva previously competed in the sprint, finishing ninth in the qualification round, just missing the cut for advancement. Ihor Kravchuk also did not progress past the qualification stage in the men’s sprint, while Dmytro Suyarko successfully reached the semifinals.

Ukrainian athletes will participate in two para skiing events on March 11 during the 2026 Winter Paralympics. Romena Lobasheva will compete in the women's race, while Dmytro Suyarko and Ihor Kravchuk will represent the country in the men's category.
