The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has introduced a new hotline for citizens to report suspicious activities, accessible via the short number 1516. Calls from both mobile and landline phones are free of charge.
The SBU encourages individuals to use this hotline if they possess information regarding potential terrorist activities, sabotage, or other illegal actions. Citizens are also urged to report any suspicious objects or individuals they may encounter, as well as any online resources used by adversaries for recruitment purposes.
Additionally, the SBU has highlighted the importance of reporting unsolicited approaches from strangers that may involve offers related to arson, the relocation of unknown items, or surveillance activities.
“All received information will be thoroughly verified. Confidentiality of reports is guaranteed. Your call or message could save lives—both your own and those of others,”
the SBU stated.
In addition to the new hotline, the SBU has provided alternative communication channels for reporting, including a chatbot named “Spaly” for reporting FSB operatives, accessible at t.me/spaly_fsb_bot, an email address at [email protected], and the previous hotline number 0 800 501 482, which remains operational.
