Ukraine’s President Warns of Upcoming Russian Attacks on Water Supply Systems

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has raised alarms about potential Russian operations targeting the country’s water supply systems in the coming months. During a speech on March 25, he urged local communities to take this information seriously.

Zelensky also shared insights from a recent government meeting focused on the aftermath of Russian strikes in various regions. He emphasized the need for urgent restoration efforts, particularly in Chernihiv, where work is underway to restore electricity.

“I instructed government officials and my team to collaborate with our military on air defense issues, especially concerning drone protection in western Ukraine,” he stated.

Additionally, the President discussed key tasks with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Naftogaz head Serhiy Koretsky, Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, and other officials.

“The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also have responsibilities to fulfill,” Zelensky added.

Earlier, following a briefing from Ukrainian intelligence chief Oleh Ivashchenko, Zelensky revealed that Russia is planning to deploy additional ground control stations for long-range drones, both in the occupied territories and at four sites within Belarus.

President Zelensky has warned of imminent Russian threats to Ukraine's water supply systems and highlighted ongoing recovery efforts in regions affected by recent attacks. He has called for enhanced air defense measures and coordination among government officials and military leaders.
