According to Freuding, the situation in Ukraine is “unconditionally stressful in military terms”, the Russian armed forces “have been on the offensive for several weeks, if not months.”
“We need weapons systems that can penetrate deep into the Russian territory and strike in warehouses, team points, aerodromes and aircraft,” he said.
The first long -range weapons, financed by Germany, should be delivered in late July, the general said.
“And then there will be a delivery in the amount calculated by hundreds of units,” he added.
Freuding noted that this would greatly strengthen Ukrainian air defense and potential of Ukraine in the coming weeks and months.
Recall that at the end of May, the German defense ministers Boris Pistorius and Ukraine Rustem Umerov signed an agreement in Berlin on financing the long -range weapons of Ukrainian production.
In early July, it became known that the representatives of the German government signed the first contract for the financing of military production in Ukraine – it was about long -range drones that have already been used to defeat goals in Russia.
