Ukrainian companies have created several types of surface drones that are actively applying against warships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Satton, notes that Ukraine has become the world leader in the practical application of surface unmanned platforms and has companies capable of rejection, build and advise other countries on this. According to him, Ukrainian-type drones can be a serious challenge for China, which is becoming more and more assertive in the West Philippine Sea.

Other experts also believe that Ukraine’s experience can be useful to the Philippines, which modernize their armed forces and seek asymmetrical solutions to counteract China’s military superiority in the region. Defense Minister Philippine Gilberto Theodoro has previously stated that the country was considering unmanned maritime systems as a temporary alternative to submarines.

By the way, at MSPO 2025 in Poland, Estonia showed the Euromite sea drone that can be controlled from the tablet.
