The embassy stated that it appealed to the competent authorities of the Republic of Poland to thoroughly investigate the rights of a citizen of Ukraine.
“The embassy strongly condemns any shameful actions against memory. We consider it as a provocation of Russian special services aimed at creating tension between our peoples. Ukraine consistently stands for respect for historical memory-both our own and memory of our neighbors.”
The embassy emphasized that anyone who violates the legislation of the state in which is located should be liable under current legislation
The Embassy also awaits Poland’s law enforcement agencies regarding the acts of vandalism, which were previously committed against Ukrainian memory places in Poland, added to the diploma.
Recall:
- On August 13, the Polish Police announced the detention of two 17-year-old Ukrainians, who were claimed, painted red and black flags and left “Bandera slogans” on buildings and in the memory of the victims of the Volyn tragedy.
- One of the detainees committed vandalism over the monument of the victims of the Volyn tragedy in the village of Domatostov.
- Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk the day before that the staff of the internal security agency on Wednesday on August 13, detained a young citizen of Ukraine, probably published by Russian special services for sabotage activities.
