Details: The head of state recalled that earlier this week the countries of Northern Europe and the Baltic States announced the contribution of an additional 500 million dollars to the PURL program for the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine.
“We are also preparing the supply of other strong air defense systems, the strengthening of our aviation – we are preparing a strong agreement with France, and in the near future we will finalize it, I am sure, our historic agreement,” he added.
Also, the president said, the Ukrainian side is preparing an agreement with Greece “on energy in order to maximally expand the options for supplying gas to Ukraine for this winter and in the strategic perspective.”
Zelensky did not disclose the details of the agreements.
It is known that the president is to visit Greece on November 16, and the next day – to France.
At the end of October, French President Emmanuel Macron said during a meeting of the leaders of the “coalition of the determined” that France would provide assistance to Ukraine in the field of air defense.
