Ukraine Implements Scheduled Power Outages Amid Ongoing Conflict

On Monday, March 16, Ukraine will initiate scheduled power outages across all regions, alongside restrictions on electricity usage for businesses and industries, as announced by the Ministry of Energy.

The ministry reported that ongoing military actions and attacks on energy infrastructure have resulted in temporary power outages for consumers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions.

Efforts are underway to restore electricity supply to all affected customers. The ministry stated, “Today, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, power outage schedules and capacity restrictions for businesses and industries will be implemented nationwide. Current information regarding these limitations will be available on the official resources of regional distribution system operators.”

Consumers are urged to use electricity sparingly during peak consumption hours in the morning and evening.

Ukraine is set to enforce power outages and capacity restrictions due to ongoing military conflicts affecting energy infrastructure. The Ministry of Energy is working to restore supply while urging consumers to conserve energy during peak hours.
