Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kherson region opened a criminal case against a native of Slutsk, a citizen of Russia Viktor Boyaturov under Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
As it became known to the Belarusian Radio Svoboda service, Boyaturov was made on the international wanted list on March 31, and was arrested in absentia on April 24, 2025.
The city of Skadovsk of the Kherson region was captured by the Russian military on March 9, 2022. As the mayor of the city Alexander Yakovlev later told in an interview with “Public”, the local authorities did not have time to get help from Kherson in the form of forces and weapons. But the locals protested daily against the occupation. On March 16, Russian servicemen detained the mayor of Alexander Yakovlev, his deputy and secretary of the city council.
A native of Belarus Viktor Boaturov served as a military commandant of the Skadovsky district of Kherson region. According to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Boyaturov faces imprisonment from 8 to 12 years.
According to the materials of Ukrainian investigators, Viktor Boaturov is a Russian citizen; He received his passport on March 31, 2006 in Novorossiysk (Krasnodar Territory, Russia). He is the commander of the 42nd separate motorized operational regiment of the National Guard of Russia stationed in occupied Sevastopol.
Boyaturov was appointed commander of this Rosgvardia Regiment a few weeks before the start of a full -scale military invasion of Ukraine – February 3, 2022. To Sevastopol, Viktor Boaturov served in Togliatti, in the military unit 6622.
