He reported that today the funding of the missile program is taking place in three directions. The first is the state budget, which is allocated funds for priority development of modern rocket weapons. The second is the initiative projects of private enterprises that are funded by their own resources without needing state support. The third is cooperation with international partners, which allows Ukraine to receive additional funding and technological assistance.
General Klochko also said that the Defense Ministry has already created two new bodies responsible for the development and implementation of rocket systems that separate the rocket direction from the overall OVT development system. It is a department of development of rocket weapons and missile defense and the Main Directorate of Supporting Missile Programs. This solution is aimed at eliminating bureaucratic barriers that prevented the rapid implementation of projects.
“If there is a question – we meet the manufacturers directly, communicate, we are coming from the initiative and we are wondering that they need to do it faster,” said CEO Klochko.
In addition, the deputy stressed that the development of a program of ballistic missiles has reached a new level and today it is one of the key areas of defense development. According to him, domestic ballistics is not only about technologies, but also about the ability of Ukrainian forces to impress the strategic goals of the enemy in the depths of his defense. He added that the development of ballistics is actively progressing and soon the Defense Ministry will reveal more information about this area.
