Ukraine has not yet received a Patriot air defense system from Israel – Zelensky

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters that Patriot Air Defense, which Kiev had to receive from Israel through the United States, has not yet been received. About it writes public. According to him, the agreement with Israel on the supply of air defense systems was, but at first it was not about American Patriot systems.

According to the President, Ukraine first agreed with Israel to obtain the Barak 8 air defense systems 8, but due to the attack of Hamas group on Israel in the fall of 2023, the supply did not take place. After that, Kyiv appealed to the United States to the Patriot system, which Israel could be transferred for modernization.

“We have received information that we can count on some old Patriot models. That is, there is a weapon that is working, and there are donors to restore. There was part of the systems in Israel that can work if it is a little restored. But at the end, one system was transmitted by Israel to the States to restore. We have not seen this system in Ukraine.”

Earlier, the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, stated that Israel had transferred Patriot to the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces, which he received from the United States in the early 1990s.
