Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced plans to intensify diplomatic activities in Latin America, aiming to strengthen collaboration with countries in the region on international platforms.
This announcement was made via a Telegram post following a briefing by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiha. Zelensky noted that Sybiha reported on recent meetings with the President and Foreign Minister of Chile, as well as representatives from over ten other nations in the region.
“The report from Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha outlined special tasks concerning Latin America. It is important that we prepare to enhance the operations of our diplomatic missions in Latin America and foster cooperation with the region on international platforms,” Zelensky stated.
In addition to Latin American initiatives, Zelensky mentioned that the Foreign Minister also briefed him on discussions with key European partners regarding security and political matters pertinent to Ukraine.
“Everyone acknowledges that our country can be a genuine partner in security guarantee matters,” Zelensky remarked.
Furthermore, the President and Sybiha discussed the preparation of diplomatic events in Ukraine scheduled for the coming weeks, emphasizing the need to maintain global attention on Ukraine and its defense efforts.
