Delegations of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain signed a license agreement regarding the Ukrainian Octopus interceptor drone, Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal reported.

“This is a historical precedent and the next important step, which will allow the production of Ukrainian interceptors in Great Britain, which have proven their effectiveness in the fight against the Shaheds,” Shmyhal wrote in a telegram on the morning of November 27.

According to him, mass production of interceptors is planned, which may reach several thousand per month, and the manufactured means will be transferred to Ukraine “to strengthen the protection of our sky.”

Earlier this month, Shmyhal reported that serial production of Russian Shahed-type UAV interceptor drones had been launched in Ukraine. According to the minister, it is about the Ukrainian Octopus technology, developed by the Armed Forces and confirmed in combat conditions. It “works at night, under jamming and at low altitudes.”

“The technology has been transferred to the first three manufacturers, eleven more are preparing production lines,” he said.

Recently, the Defense Forces have been actively developing the direction of interceptor drones, which work both on the front line and in the near and far rear. In September, Zelenskyi said that Ukraine should begin production of 500-800 interceptor drones per day in November.
