Two Killed in Russian Airstrike on Sumy Region

Two individuals lost their lives and two others sustained injuries following a Russian airstrike using guided bombs in the Hlukhiv community of the Sumy region on the evening of March 10.

The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleg Hryhorov, reported the incident via Telegram, stating that a 27-year-old man was among the deceased. He was killed when the airstrike targeted civilian enterprises in Hlukhiv. The injured include three men aged 42, 59, and 63, with one of them currently undergoing surgery and the others receiving medical attention in hospital wards.

On the morning of March 11, Hryhorov announced that the 63-year-old victim had succumbed to his injuries while in the hospital.

According to Hryhorov, some residents managed to take shelter during the attack, which helped prevent a higher number of casualties. The local police reported that the airstrike caused significant damage, impacting an administrative building, infrastructure of businesses, storage facilities, vehicles, a gas pipeline, and a transformer.

A recent airstrike in the Sumy region resulted in two fatalities and several injuries. Local authorities reported damage to infrastructure and noted that some residents were able to seek shelter, mitigating potential casualties.
