Details: At the Drone Coalition Summit, on Wednesday, the head of the Latvian Ministry of Defense Andris Puruds announced that Turkey and Belgium had expressed their intention to join the coalition.

The Minister also noted that the member states jointly brought about 180 million euros to the Joint Procurement Fund, which is governed by the United Kingdom, another head of the Drone Coalition Coalition.
This fund is intended for centralized procurement of unmanned technologies, along with national supports of each coalition member country, specifying the Latvia Ministry of Defense.
Latvia herself has announced the intention to allocate 20 million euros for the needs of the coalition in 2025, which will be aimed at purchasing drones, and another 10 million euros for the projects of cooperation between the Latvian and Ukrainian industry.
Since the creation of a “drone coalition” in February 2024, its Member States provided significant support to Ukraine. In 2024 alone, it reached a total of 1.8 billion euros, and in 2025 it was planned at 2.75 billion euros.
Currently, the “drone coalition” has 18 states, so with the accession of Belgium and Turkey, they will become 20. This step requires a separate approval by the current participants in the format.
We will remind, in March “Coalition of drones” allocated 20 million euros in order to buy reconnaissance drones of tactical level for Ukraine.
And Norway, as it became known recently, agreed to direct a greater share of funds for the production of Ukrainian drones from the funds provided for support of Ukraine this year.
