The average approval rating in the first quarter for US Presidents from 1952 to 2020 was 60%.
The last approval indicator appeared at a time when the Americans felt the pressure of Trump’s recent statement about consumer prices.
Earlier this month, Trump announced the introduction of a 10 percent base duty for almost all imports and higher tariffs for a number of countries, hoping to create an American financial and production boom.
Most of the “mutual” tariffs are on a 90-day pause, except for China-the main trading partner of the United States.
